Takesense.com was designed to produce highly customised web standards compliant surveys. Don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what that means; what you need to know is there are two methods to customising the look and feel of your survey - what follows is the easiest:

Our surveys are styled using C.S.S.; this is standard for web standards compliant surveys and it’s also the path of least resistance to using our system. If you open a survey with the page editor:

Notice the tab strip along the top of the survey in the page editor:

Each of these tabs edits the C.S.S. for you, so even if you do know what C.S.S. is, there’s no need to go anywhere near it. If you’d like to use one of the pre-built styles, select it from the drop down and then click the “update” button - everything is done automatically for you.

If you do like a pre-built style, but you prefer a different colour text, then select the style and change the colour of the text (on the same page - click “show details”):

And then click the “update” button to return to the page editor tab.

The point is this: if you can achieve what you require from the page tabs on the page editor, then do it there, that’s how we designed the system.

The reason is C.S.S.: the tabbed pages on the page editor edit your survey’s C.S.S. for you and when it comes to styling our surveys, C.S.S. is your friend.
