How to: Set up your survey friendly ID, e.g.: http://takesense.com/yourCompanyName

Take advantage of paper distribution for your survey by using our friendly survey ID feature.

  1. Go to the Setup section of the site by clicking “Setup” from the very top of the page.
  2. Open the Friendly Survey ID prefix page (this is where you set the main part of your survey's internet address).
  3. Enter your desired prefix and click "Save".
  4. Once your prefix is set, you need to ID your survey - return to the survey manager page.
  5. Edit your survey using the page editor (if your survey is active select “Open it anyway” from the popup).
  6. Select the “Survey options” tab.
  7. Click the “Show advanced” button.
  8. Enter the ID for your survey; if you want this to be the default survey that is launched from your internet address then enter a dash (minus) sign.
  9. Click the "Update" button (returns to the page editor) and then save your survey.

When you activate your survey you will be able to access it by the friendly survey ID, e.g.: http://takesense.com/yourCompanyName/SurveyID or if you set your survey to be the default, i.e. you entered a dash (minus sign), then: http://takesense.com/yourCompanyName Note: it does not matter whether you type in upper case or lower case letters.
